We've been toiling away trying to plan our spring and summer, and working on new songs, and on making music videos, and growing beards.
Keith (not pictured here in the "Beard" photo) does not have a beard. I think this is because he spends half of his time in Havana and Austin and Kingston and warm spots like that.
...that was 2005 is behind us.
For a mysterious reason, I can't get photos up right now.
There was joy and excitement: The new album, and a successful tour, and the arrival of Michael and Karen's sweet baby Hazel. And there was the sorrow of lost loved ones, and near losses, and world-wide tragedy.
And so it is with great anticipation that we hail 2006. Said year is off to a great start with the announcement of Jake's engagement to his life-long love Jessica. It kind of seems like they've been married since grade 4, but this will make it official.
We've been working on two videos with film-maker James Ransom. You'll be the second one to see the results.
We're playing at the Black Sheep on January 28th. It's part of DragonFest (the annual Wakefield winter carnival),(and a fund-raiser for the Wakefield Recreation Center.) And we will be in Kingston on February 11th at the Merchant MacLiam. It's in support of a community garden type deal.
Dates will soon be announced for Peterborough, Toronto, Hamilton, London, Sudbury, Sault Ste. Marie, and Montreal. Stay tuned.
Happy New Year,
Fiftymen.
